A special lecture on the promotion and innovative applications of space tourism, titled Astro Tourism, was recently held in September 2023 at the auditorium of the Faculty of Management, Sabaragamuwa University. The event featured Aravinda Ravibhanu, a distinguished scientist from the Eco Astronomy International Research Unit, as the guest lecturer.  Ravibhanu, who also serves as an ambassador for the Mars Society and Beijing Forestry University International College, shared valuable insights into the evolving field of space tourism. Organized by the Tourism & Hospitality Subject Association within the Department of Tourism Management at Sabaragamuwa University, the lecture highlighted the growing intersection of astronomy and tourism, offering students and attendees a glimpse into the future of this exciting industry.
